Hi I'm Mark, Golf Instructor and Personal Trainer (a unique combination!).

I originally qualified with a B.Eng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Leeds University, and chose a career in Golf Instruction and Personal Training because of my passion and desire to help people improve their knowledge, excel at their sport, and get fitter. Over the last 11+ years I've learnt and tested the most effective techniques in exercise and nutrition to help you strip excess fat from your body.My golf teaching technique is the way all new professional players are being taught in Asia, and almost identical to that being used by Sean Foley, the coach to Tiger Woods.My knowledge base, dynamic approach, and humour only add to the effectiveness of the experience my clients enjoy (or so I'm told!).

I hold 'Golf Athlete' and 'YMCA Fit' qualifications, and I am a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals. On a personal level I love the outdoors, skiing, running, cycling, yoga and of course golf. This I'm planning to climb Mont Blanc, as well as take part in the 100 mile Ride London Challenge.I'm currently writing a book about the golf swing, and my ambition is to train professionals on the PGA Tour, whilst still helping amateurs improve. I am constantly seeking new and improved ways of increasing safe fat loss in my Personal Training clients.

I can't recommend Mark highly enough. He found the weaknesses in my swing straight away and we spent the hour breaking down the swing and working on the areas that needed improvement. He made it really easy to understand how to make changes and wrote it all down in my own words which is a good touch. He definitely knows his stuff - looking forward to the next lesson. Cheers. Oli

I went for a lesson with Mark a couple of weeks ago, and have to say I was impressed. It was a different style of lesson from what I'm used to, with the emphasis on breaking down the swing into its parts, concentrating on the stance and take back.
There were certainly a few things I was doing wrong, and just talking through it over an hour seemed more beneficil than hitting balls on the range. It helped understand what I should be trying to do, rather than seeing what works best on the range on a given day.

I'm around an 18 handicap, but would recommend Mark's lesson to anyone - very good value for the help that it was.

This lesson was just what I needed, and Mark is a great instructor who's very approachable and responsive. I play off around 15-18 and wanted a few things to work on to knock down my handicap. Mark asked me in advance of the lesson what I wanted to get out of it, and what I thought was going wrong, which I was really impressed with. This meant he had really thought about relevant tips and drills, so the hour we had was really well spent. I really liked the way he explained why certain things were happening, rather than just telling me what to change. He also wrote up and sent all his advice, so I have a good reference point to go back to. Now to put it into action on the course!
