Hi, I'm Ross. I've been coaching tennis since 1999 in the UK, France and more recently the USA - with over 10 years spent in Hackney, London.

I hold a 2:1 honours degree in English and Drama and focus my lessons on the indivudual, bringing my enthusiasm for the game to motivate the player and create a great overall experience.

I have considerable experience coaching both adults and children, with a tried and tested method of teaching aimed at getting the best out of my students. I tailor my lessons to the individual and motiviate the player with my enthusiasm for the game, which makes for a great overall experience.

I work with Hackney City Tennis Clubs across 4 locations in East London: Haggerston Park, Hackney Downs Park, Stoke Newington Park and London Fields.I also coach in local schools across Hackney and regularly train and play for the Hackney men's first team.

I'm a Club Coach and LTA licenced.

Great lesson with Ross at Hackney Downs. I played a lot of tennis when I was younger to high club level, but hadn't played much at all in the past 10 years, so any recent attempts just left me feeling frustrated. During my 1 hour lesson with Ross, we got straight into drills and set to work on the key aspects of my game. Ross was very encouraging in his approach and focused on 3 things so as not to overwhelm! For me it was footwork, finishing over my shoulder on the ground shots and getting the ball toss right on the serve. By the end of the lesson, I was totally exhausted but really felt I'd made some huge improvements in such a short time. And now I know what I should be focusing on when I play with friends. So worth it and would definitely recommend Ross as an instructor!
